Piʻikū Co. is a Hawaiʻi-based 501(c)(3) work-based learning organization that creates opportunities for kānaka and kamaʻāina emerging technologists while helping local organizations address real needs.
Piʻikū's work has two primary operating streams, supported by a third professional development and community stream:
Piʻikū is hiring an Executive Director to lead these workstreams as one organization. The central growth mandate for the next two years is to turn employer relationships into secured, recurring revenue. This employer-partnership work will take 50% of the Executive Director's time.
By Dec 31, 2027, the Executive Director is expected to have secured and run at least 2 legacy-company partnerships and 10 small or midsize business partnerships. Reaching that goal will require strengthening Piʻikū's established company offering while defining and testing a practical offering for smaller businesses.
The rural health Program Director will run the Innovation initiative and its software projects with substantial day-to-day independence. The Executive Director will supervise the Program Director, provide strategic guidance, align the work with Piʻikū's broader direction, and remain accountable for outcomes, resourcing, and risk.
